Description

These peanut butter cookies are thick, soft, and overloaded with chocolate and peanut butter flavor. They are easy bakery style peanut butter cookies.


Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup peanut butter baking chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chunks
  • ½ cup chocolate candy pieces


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the butter and peanut butter together until smooth and creamy in a large bowl.
  3. Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar and beat for 2 to 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined.
  7. Fold in the peanut butter chips, chocolate chunks, and candy pieces evenly.
  8. Scoop large dough balls about 2½ tablespoons each and place them 2½ inches apart on the baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
