Description
Juicy air fryer buffalo chicken breasts with crispy edges and bold flavor. This easy air fryer buffalo chicken is ready in 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts about 6 ounces each and 1 inch thick
- 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 cup buffalo-style hot sauce divided
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F for 3 minutes and lightly coat the basket with olive oil spray.
- Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels and season both sides evenly with salt and black pepper.
- Place the chicken in a shallow bowl and coat with 0.33 cup buffalo sauce, turning to fully cover. Rest for 5 minutes.
- Arrange the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer with no overlap, smooth side down.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken and cook for another 4 minutes.
- Brush the chicken with the remaining buffalo sauce and return to the air fryer for 2 to 3 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F at the thickest part.
- Remove from the air fryer and rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
