Description

Juicy air fryer buffalo chicken breasts with crispy edges and bold flavor. This easy air fryer buffalo chicken is ready in 20 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts about 6 ounces each and 1 inch thick
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup buffalo-style hot sauce divided
  • Olive oil spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F for 3 minutes and lightly coat the basket with olive oil spray.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels and season both sides evenly with salt and black pepper.
  3. Place the chicken in a shallow bowl and coat with 0.33 cup buffalo sauce, turning to fully cover. Rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer with no overlap, smooth side down.
  5. Air fry for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken and cook for another 4 minutes.
  6. Brush the chicken with the remaining buffalo sauce and return to the air fryer for 2 to 3 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F at the thickest part.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
