Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool before cutting.
