Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin cutlets
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 3 large garlic cloves, grated or minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and garlic.
  3. Add chicken cutlets and toss to coat. Let marinate while the oven heats, about 10 minutes.
  4. Arrange chicken in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, pour the leftover marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil for 1 minute to ensure it is safe.
  6. Whisk cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the sauce. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes until thick and glossy.
