Description
Quick and flavorful chicken broccoli stir fry with a savory homemade garlic sauce, ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast cut into 1 inch cubes
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- In a bowl whisk together soy sauce, chicken broth, cornstarch, honey, and sesame oil until smooth. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Add the remaining oil to the skillet, then add broccoli and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
- Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and pour in the sauce.
- Stir well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and broccoli evenly.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- Add a sprinkle of sesame seeds for extra texture.
