Description

Crispy, cheesy fries loaded with sausage and ranch flavor, perfect for a quick dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds frozen crinkle cut fries
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces beef sausage sliced into 0.5 inch rounds
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.33 cup ranch dressing
  • 0.25 cup green onions sliced


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Spread the frozen fries on a large baking sheet. Toss them with 1 tablespoon olive oil and 0.5 teaspoon salt.
  2. Bake the fries for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
  3. While the fries bake, heat 1 teaspoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until browned and heated through. Stir in 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder and 0.25 teaspoon black pepper.
  4. Remove the fries from the oven. Transfer them to an oven-safe dish or keep them on the baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle 1.5 cups cheddar cheese and 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese evenly over the hot fries.
  6. Top the cheese with the cooked sausage pieces.
  7. Return the dish to the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven. Drizzle 0.33 cup ranch dressing evenly over the top.
  9. Sprinkle 0.25 cup sliced green onions over everything and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, bake fries on a wire rack set over a baking sheet.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
