Description

A quick and easy recipe for restaurant-quality scallops cooked in an air fryer with a flavorful garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • For the Sauce:
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 teaspoons garlic paste (or 3 minced cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • A pinch of sea salt & black pepper
  • For the Scallops:
  • 12 ounces sea scallops
  • Kosher salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the garlic butter sauce. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook for two minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in lemon juice, parsley, sea salt, and pepper. Keep warm over low heat.
  2. Pat scallops completely dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with kosher salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Place seasoned scallops in the air fryer basket in a single layer with space between them.
  4. Cook for 6 minutes, flipping scallops halfway through at the 3-minute mark.
  5. Place cooked scallops on a plate and pour garlic butter sauce over the top. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Patting the scallops completely dry is key to achieving a good sear.
