Description
A quick and easy recipe for restaurant-quality scallops cooked in an air fryer with a flavorful garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- For the Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 teaspoons garlic paste (or 3 minced cloves)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- A pinch of sea salt & black pepper
- For the Scallops:
- 12 ounces sea scallops
- Kosher salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning to taste
Instructions
- Make the garlic butter sauce. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook for two minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in lemon juice, parsley, sea salt, and pepper. Keep warm over low heat.
- Pat scallops completely dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with kosher salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Place seasoned scallops in the air fryer basket in a single layer with space between them.
- Cook for 6 minutes, flipping scallops halfway through at the 3-minute mark.
- Place cooked scallops on a plate and pour garlic butter sauce over the top. Serve hot.
Notes
- Patting the scallops completely dry is key to achieving a good sear.
