Description

Enjoy soft and fluffy homemade dinner rolls in just 30 minutes with this easy recipe perfect for beginners.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 3/4 cup all purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it proof for 2-5 minutes.
  3. Add oil, salt, egg, and flour (1 cup at a time). Mix until combined. Let the mixer knead the dough for about 4 minutes. The dough will be soft; add just enough flour so you can form balls with oiled hands.
  4. Spray your hands with baking spray and shape the dough into 15 individual balls.
  5. Place the dough balls in the prepared baking dish and cover with a dish towel.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F and place the pan on top of the oven to let the dough rise while the oven heats.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and brush the tops with melted butter before serving.

Notes

  • Adding too much flour will make the rolls dense.
  • Use oily hands to shape the dough into balls.
  • Let the dough rise on top of the preheating oven.
