Ingredients
- 4 oz Feta cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ tsp minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tablespoon chopped pistachios
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped chives
- ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Combine feta, cream cheese, and olive oil in a food processor. Process until the mixture is smooth.
- Add basil and garlic. Mix well again.
- Transfer the cheese mixture to a small plate or shallow bowl. Use a spoon to form a well in the center.
- Pour the honey into the well.
- Garnish the edges of the well with chives, pistachios, and cracked black pepper.
- Serve right away with warm pita bread.
Notes
- For seasonal serving from November to January, pair this dip with toasted flatbread, roasted sweet potato wedges, or pear slices.
- Serve immediately to taste the texture difference between the creamy cheese and the honey.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Let the dip warm up to room temperature before serving it again.
