Description

Viral Marry Me Chicken With Hot Honey delivers tender, juicy chicken breasts smothered in a rich, creamy sauce featuring sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, and a sweet-spicy kick from hot honey. It is a restaurant-quality dish perfect for home cooks.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey, plus more to drizzle
  • Fresh basil, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Transfer chicken to a plate.
  2. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and chicken broth. Simmer 1–2 minutes to deglaze the pan.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Simmer 2–3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons hot honey. Taste the sauce and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
  5. Return the chicken and any accumulated juices to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the chicken. Bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with sliced fresh basil and drizzle with extra hot honey before serving. Serve with your favorite side.

Notes

  • Hot honey can be made by warming 1/4 cup honey with 1–2 teaspoons hot sauce and a pinch of cayenne and salt to taste.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, add more chicken broth. If it is too thin after baking, simmer longer or whisk in extra Parmesan off the heat.
  • For quicker cooking, use thin chicken cutlets and finish cooking on the stovetop, simmering in the sauce for 4–6 minutes.
