Description

A classic turkey club sandwich layered with turkey, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. This sandwich is good for lunches, picnics, or quick meals any time of the year.


Ingredients

  • 6 slices sandwich bread, lightly toasted
  • 6 ounces sliced roasted turkey breast
  • 2 slices cheddar or provolone cheese
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 leaves romaine or butter lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Stir mayonnaise and Dijon mustard together in a small bowl.
  2. Toast the bread slices until golden and lightly crisp.
  3. Spread the mayo mixture on one side of each bread slice.
  4. On the first slice, layer turkey and cheese.
  5. Add a second slice of bread, then layer tomato, avocado, lettuce, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Top with the final bread slice, spread-side down.
  7. Press gently to secure, then cut the sandwich diagonally into halves or quarters.
  8. Serve immediately with chips, salad, or fruit on the side.
