Description

Tomato garlic pasta with creamy burrata and fresh flavors. An easy, elegant dish perfect for quick dinners or cozy meals at home.


Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes, 28 ounces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 balls burrata cheese, about 4 ounces each
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and stir in salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and dried basil. Simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  5. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  6. Divide pasta into serving bowls.
  7. Place a burrata ball on top of each portion.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately, allowing the burrata to melt into the warm pasta.

  • For extra depth of flavor, roast the garlic gently until just golden before adding the tomatoes.
