Description
Tomato garlic pasta with creamy burrata and fresh flavors. An easy, elegant dish perfect for quick dinners or cozy meals at home.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes, 28 ounces
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 balls burrata cheese, about 4 ounces each
- ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and stir in salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and dried basil. Simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Divide pasta into serving bowls.
- Place a burrata ball on top of each portion.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately, allowing the burrata to melt into the warm pasta.
Notes
- For extra depth of flavor, roast the garlic gently until just golden before adding the tomatoes.
