Ingredients
- 8 slices sandwich bread about 1/2 inch thick
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small tomato thinly sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Toast the bread using a toaster, skillet, or oven until lightly golden.
- Spread butter evenly over each warm slice.
- For cinnamon sugar mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over buttered toast.
- For honey toast, drizzle honey evenly over buttered toast.
- For strawberry cream toast, spread cream cheese and top with sliced strawberries.
- For cheesy toast, top bread with shredded cheese and heat until melted.
- For tomato cheese toast, add tomato slices, pepper, salt, and cheese, then melt.
- Drizzle olive oil lightly over savory toasts before serving if desired.
Notes
- Use bread thickness of about 1/2 inch for best results.
- Any type of sandwich bread works for these variations.
