Easy Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow is a no-bake sweet treat perfect for beginners. This recipe uses Rice Chex or Corn Chex cereal coated in white chocolate and a strawberry-sugar mix for a delightful snack.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce package freeze-dried strawberries
- 4 cups rice or corn chex mix cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup icing sugar
Instructions
- Place freeze-dried strawberries in a food processor and process until they form a fine powder.
- In a bowl, combine the strawberry powder with icing sugar. Mix well until uniform in color. Pour this mixture into a 1-gallon freezer bag and seal.
- Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- In a large bowl, gently fold the melted white chocolate into the cereal until all pieces are coated.
- Transfer the chocolate-coated cereal into the freezer bag with the strawberry-sugar mixture. Seal the bag and gently toss until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Spread the coated cereal onto a baking sheet. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to set. Store in an airtight container.
