A creamy and refreshing strawberry glaze smoothie made with fresh strawberries and Greek yogurt, perfect for a summer drink.
Ingredients
- For the strawberry glaze: 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped; 2 tablespoons honey; 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- For the smoothie: 1 cup frozen strawberries; 1 frozen banana; 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt; 3/4 cup milk; 1 tablespoon honey; 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder; 1/2 cup ice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, add chopped strawberries, honey, and lemon juice. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture breaks down and thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and let the strawberry glaze cool completely.
- Spoon a few tablespoons of the glaze into a glass and swirl it around the sides to create a layered effect.
- In a blender, combine frozen strawberries, frozen banana, Greek yogurt, milk, honey, vanilla powder, and ice.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, about 30 to 45 seconds.
- Pour the smoothie into the prepared glass over the glaze.
- Top with an extra spoonful of strawberry glaze for a vibrant finish.
- Serve immediately while cold and thick.
Notes
- For the best texture, use fully frozen fruit and serve right away.
- Adjust milk slightly to control thickness without thinning the flavor too much.
