Description

Quick sticky garlic chicken noodles made with tender chicken, glossy sauce, and perfectly coated noodles. A fast and flavorful weeknight dinner ready in 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken fillets, sliced into thin strips
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables such as sliced bell peppers, broccoli, or carrots
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 quarter cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions (optional garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  4. Add the chicken strips and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add vegetables and stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  7. Return the chicken to the pan and add the cooked noodles.
  8. Pour in the sauce gradually while tossing everything together.
  9. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles evenly.
  10. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
