Description

This Spicy Ricotta Dip with Hot Honey is a quick and easy appetizer perfect for beginners. The creamy ricotta is complemented by a sweet and spicy drizzle, topped with crunchy walnuts and fresh rosemary.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh ricotta cheese
  • Grated zest from half a lemon
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • A dash of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup runny honey
  • 1 teaspoon spicy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons freshly chopped rosemary


Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine ricotta cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes. Spread the whipped ricotta in a shallow bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, mix honey, hot sauce, and chili flakes until combined.
  3. Drizzle the honey mixture over the ricotta. Top with chopped walnuts and chopped rosemary.
  4. Serve with crackers or crostini.
