Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 1 half teaspoon paprika
  • 1 half teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 half teaspoon salt
  • 1 half teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 half cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1 half cup edamame
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Whisk mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and honey in a small bowl. Set aside in the refrigerator.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, paprika, onion powder, soy sauce, sriracha, broth, honey, salt, and pepper. Stir and let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle cornstarch over the mixture and stir until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the turkey.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in a few spoonfuls of the prepared sauce if desired for extra flavor.
  6. Assemble bowls with rice, turkey mixture, carrots, cucumbers, and edamame.
  7. Drizzle generously with bang bang sauce and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Add a squeeze of lime juice before serving to brighten the flavors and balance the richness of the sauce.
