Description
Quick ground turkey rice bowls with creamy spicy bang bang sauce, fresh toppings, and bold flavor. Perfect easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons grated ginger
- 1 half teaspoon paprika
- 1 half teaspoon onion powder
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 2 tablespoons chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 half teaspoon salt
- 1 half teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 half cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1 half cup edamame
- 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Whisk mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and honey in a small bowl. Set aside in the refrigerator.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and fully cooked.
- Add garlic, ginger, paprika, onion powder, soy sauce, sriracha, broth, honey, salt, and pepper. Stir and let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over the mixture and stir until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the turkey.
- Remove from heat and stir in a few spoonfuls of the prepared sauce if desired for extra flavor.
- Assemble bowls with rice, turkey mixture, carrots, cucumbers, and edamame.
- Drizzle generously with bang bang sauce and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Add a squeeze of lime juice before serving to brighten the flavors and balance the richness of the sauce.
