Description

This Sour Cream Beef Noodle Casserole is a simple and satisfying dish perfect for weeknight dinners. It combines tender egg noodles with savory ground chicken in a creamy sour cream sauce, topped with melted cheddar cheese. Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles in boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground chicken and chopped onion over medium heat until chicken is browned and onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, combine sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Add cooked noodles and chicken mixture to the sour cream mixture. Stir until evenly coated.
  6. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm.

  • For a lighter version, use low-fat sour cream.
