These homemade cinnamon rolls are soft, gooey, and filled with rich cinnamon sugar, finished with a creamy frosting for the perfect breakfast treat.
Ingredients
- Yeast Dough: 1 cup whole milk warmed

Instructions
- Combine the warm milk and yeast in a large bowl. Let stand 2 minutes until slightly foamy.
- Whisk in the eggs, melted butter, sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Add 4 cups of flour and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead 6 to 8 minutes until elastic, adding more flour only if very sticky.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 35 minutes until nearly doubled.
- Roll the dough into a large rectangle about 24 by 15 inches on a floured surface.
- Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll tightly from the long side and cut into 12 equal rolls. Place in a greased 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
- Cover and let rise 20 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F.
- Warm the heavy cream and pour evenly over the risen rolls.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes until lightly golden and baked through.
- Beat the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over warm rolls before serving.
