Ingredients
- 3 and one half cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 and one quarter cups plain whole milk
- 1 third cup olive oil
- 1 and one half cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Set your oven to 375°F and grease a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Add the milk and olive oil and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 2 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.
- Flatten each piece and place about 2 tablespoons of mozzarella in the center.
- Fold the dough around the cheese and pinch to seal it into a ball.
- Arrange the rolls seam side down in the prepared dish.
- Brush the tops evenly with melted butter.
- Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until puffed, lightly golden, and cooked through.
