Description

Crispy, juicy, and packed with Caesar flavor, these smash chicken Caesar tacos combine golden tortillas, tender chicken, and fresh romaine for a quick dinner win.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ⅓ cup Caesar dressing
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • Optional: crushed croutons or red pepper flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix ground chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl until combined.
  2. Lay out tortillas on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of the chicken mixture on one side of each tortilla, pressing it flat with the back of a spoon.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  4. Place each tortilla chicken-side down in the skillet. Cook 2–3 minutes, pressing down with a spatula until the chicken is browned and reaches 165°F internally.
  5. Flip and cook the tortilla side for 30–45 seconds until golden and crisp. Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining tortillas.
  6. Toss romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing and lemon juice in a bowl.
  7. Spoon the salad onto the crispy side of each taco. Sprinkle with Parmesan and optional croutons or pepper flakes.
  8. Fold and serve immediately while warm and crisp.

Notes

  • The internal temperature for the chicken must reach 165°F for safety.
  • Press the chicken firmly when cooking to achieve the ‘smash’ texture.
  • Serve these tacos immediately for the best crispiness.
