Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker in an even layer.
- Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour barbecue sauce and chicken broth over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours until chicken is very tender.
- Shred the chicken using two forks directly in the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F for safe consumption.
- For thicker sauce, leave the lid off for 20 minutes on high after shredding.
