Description

Tender, juicy chicken with smoky BBQ flavor, perfect for sandwiches, bowls, or wraps.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth


Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker in an even layer.
  2. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour barbecue sauce and chicken broth over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours until chicken is very tender.
  5. Shred the chicken using two forks directly in the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F for safe consumption.
  • For thicker sauce, leave the lid off for 20 minutes on high after shredding.
