Description

Skillet flatbread toast made on the stovetop with a crisp outside and soft center. Quick easy and perfect for meals or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces flatbread or pita bread about 6 inches wide
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Brush one side of each flatbread lightly with olive oil.
  3. Place the flatbreads oil side down in the skillet in a single layer.
  4. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and lightly crisp on the bottom.
  5. Brush the top sides lightly with remaining olive oil.
  6. Sprinkle evenly with salt.
  7. Flip and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until warmed through and crisp in spots.
  8. Remove from the skillet and serve warm.
