Description
Skillet flatbread toast made on the stovetop with a crisp outside and soft center. Quick easy and perfect for meals or snacks.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces flatbread or pita bread about 6 inches wide
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Brush one side of each flatbread lightly with olive oil.
- Place the flatbreads oil side down in the skillet in a single layer.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and lightly crisp on the bottom.
- Brush the top sides lightly with remaining olive oil.
- Sprinkle evenly with salt.
- Flip and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until warmed through and crisp in spots.
- Remove from the skillet and serve warm.
