Description

Creamy Shrimp and Broccoli Alfredo with fettuccine.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and fully cooked. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add broccoli and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 4-5 minutes until tender but still vibrant. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
  6. Return the cooked shrimp and broccoli to the skillet, tossing gently to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
  7. Add the drained fettuccine and toss everything together until well combined.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to your preference.
  • For a thinner sauce, add a splash of pasta water.
