Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.75 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup finely chopped green onions


Instructions

  1. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  2. Stir in milk and 1 tablespoon olive oil until you form a soft dough.
  3. Fold in green onions evenly.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and the remaining olive oil.
  5. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough into the skillet, spacing them slightly apart.
  6. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the bottoms turn golden brown.
  7. Flip the dumplings and cook for 3 to 4 minutes more until they are cooked through.
