Description

Make coffeehouse-style salted caramel cold brew foam at home in 5 minutes with just 6 ingredients. Creamy, sweet, and perfectly balanced.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold brew coffee
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons vanilla syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon caramel syrup
  • ⅕ teaspoon sea salt
  • Extra flaky sea salt for topping
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour in the cold brew coffee.
  2. Add vanilla syrup to the cold brew and stir well to combine.
  3. In a separate tall glass or small bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, milk, caramel syrup, and sea salt.
  4. Using a handheld milk frother, froth the cream mixture for 30 to 60 seconds until thick, creamy, and foam forms with fine bubbles.
  5. Gently pour or spoon the salted caramel cold foam over the cold brew, allowing it to float on top.
  6. Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the foam in a decorative pattern.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of the foam for finishing.
  8. Serve immediately and stir before drinking to combine flavors.

Notes

  • Use 2% milk instead of whole milk for a lighter foam.
  • Swap heavy cream with half-and-half to reduce calories by about 30%.
  • Replace vanilla syrup with maple syrup for a seasonal twist.
  • Make it mocha by adding ½ teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder to the foam.
  • Use homemade caramel syrup by dissolving ½ cup sugar in ½ cup boiling water and cooling.
  • Try this foam on iced lattes, iced mochas, or vanilla drinks instead of cold brew.
  • Use a tall glass or deep bowl when frothing to prevent splashing and achieve maximum volume.
  • Make the foam right before serving for the best texture and stability.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less vanilla syrup based on your preference.
  • For extra thick foam, use all heavy cream instead of the cream-milk combination.
  • Shake ingredients vigorously in a sealed jar for 60 seconds if you do not have a frother.
  • Store leftover cold brew coffee in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Pre-mix the foam ingredients without frothing and refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 2 days, then froth just before serving.
