Description
Pepper Jelly & Cream Cheese Bites offer a quick, crowd-pleasing appetizer combining sweet heat pepper jelly and creamy cheese inside flaky puff pastry.
Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 1 (14-oz.) package puff pastry, thawed if frozen
- 1 (8-oz.) block cold cream cheese
- 1/2 cup pepper jelly
- Fresh thyme leaves, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease two 24-cup mini muffin pans with cooking spray.
- Spread puff pastry on a clean surface and cut into 24 pieces. Place each piece into a prepared muffin cup.
- Bake pastry until just light golden and puffed, about 12 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- Cut cream cheese into 24 pieces. Press one piece of cream cheese into the center of each puff pastry cup, adjusting the pastry as needed.
- Top each with about 1 heaping teaspoon of pepper jelly.
- Bake bites until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cream cheese is warm, 8 to 10 minutes more.
- Top with thyme leaves, if you want. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
