Description
Soft and buttery Parmesan bread bites brushed with garlic herb butter and baked until golden. A crave-worthy snack or appetizer for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 batch pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic (or 1 teaspoon garlic salt)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 4–6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Olive oil or cooking spray for greasing
- Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Lightly grease a large baking sheet with olive oil or nonstick spray. Prepare pizza dough according to your recipe or package directions.
- After the dough’s first rise, gently punch it down. Cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Cover with a clean towel and let rise for 30 minutes.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt butter with garlic. Stir in salt, Italian seasoning, and parsley.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Brush dough pieces generously with half of the garlic butter mixture.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes or until light golden brown. Avoid over-browning to keep the bites soft.
- Brush the hot bites immediately with remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Enjoy hot with marinara sauce or as a buttery snack.
Notes
- The total rise time for the dough is about 2 hours, including the 30-minute second rise after shaping.
- Avoid over-baking to maintain the soft texture of the bites.
