Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 0.5 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 0.25 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.75 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.75 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a large bowl.
- Mix gently until just combined; do not overwork the mixture.
- Shape into 16 evenly sized meatballs, about 1.5 inches wide.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add meatballs in a single layer; avoid overcrowding the skillet.
- Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until browned on the first side.
- Turn the meatballs and continue cooking for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and cooked through.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
- For food safety, cook ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F measured at the center.
