Description

A simple and delicious one-pot stovetop mac and cheese recipe. Creamy, cheesy, and ready in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni/pasta of your choice
  • 3 cups water
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2.5 cups sharp cheddar freshly grated
  • 2 cups mozzarella freshly grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1.5 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1.5 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Grate the cheese and prepare all ingredients.
  2. Add dried macaroni pasta and water to a pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook pasta according to package directions or until al dente. Ensure most of the water evaporates, leaving a little in the pot.
  4. Turn heat to low. Add remaining ingredients to the pot.
  5. Stir until well combined and cheese is melted. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of paprika to your preference. For a different flavor, you can use other cheeses like Gruyere or Colby Jack.
