Description
A simple and delicious one-pot stovetop mac and cheese recipe. Creamy, cheesy, and ready in about 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni/pasta of your choice
- 3 cups water
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2.5 cups sharp cheddar freshly grated
- 2 cups mozzarella freshly grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1.5 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1.5 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Grate the cheese and prepare all ingredients.
- Add dried macaroni pasta and water to a pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and cook pasta according to package directions or until al dente. Ensure most of the water evaporates, leaving a little in the pot.
- Turn heat to low. Add remaining ingredients to the pot.
- Stir until well combined and cheese is melted. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of paprika to your preference. For a different flavor, you can use other cheeses like Gruyere or Colby Jack.
