Description

A rich and cheesy baked spaghetti casserole with layers of pasta, seasoned meats, and creamy cheese mixtures.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound beef sausage
  • 48 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti noodles to al dente according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the spaghetti cooks, brown the ground beef and beef sausage over medium heat. Drain the meat, then mix it with the spaghetti sauce.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and Italian seasoning. Mix until smooth.
  4. Spread a thin layer of sauce in a 9×13 casserole dish. Add half the cooked spaghetti over the sauce.
  5. Spread half of the meat sauce, half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese evenly over the spaghetti.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining spaghetti, meat sauce, and cheese.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are bubbly and the casserole is hot throughout.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
