Description
This viral Million Dollar Dip takes just 5 minutes with 5 simple ingredients. It is creamy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor, making it the ultimate party appetizer that everyone loves.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups mayonnaise
- 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup cooked turkey bacon pieces
- ½ cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 5 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Cook the turkey bacon until crispy following package directions. Chop the bacon into small pieces and let it cool completely.
- Toast the slivered almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Stir frequently until the almonds look golden brown and smell fragrant.
- Thinly slice the green onions. Separate the white and light green parts from the dark green tops for garnish.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, shredded cheddar cheese, turkey bacon pieces, toasted almonds, and sliced green onions.
- Stir with a spatula until all ingredients mix evenly and combine well.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours so the flavors can meld.
- Before serving, stir the dip quickly and move it to a serving bowl.
- Garnish with the reserved green onion tops and an extra sprinkle of toasted almonds if you want.
- Serve chilled with crackers, chips, or fresh-cut vegetables.
Notes
- Use freshly shredded cheddar cheese instead of pre-shredded cheese for better texture and flavor.
- Toast the almonds until deeply golden for maximum nutty flavor and crunch.
- Make this dip at least 4 hours ahead or overnight for the best flavor.
- Bring the dip to room temperature for 15 minutes before serving to improve scoopability and flavor.
- Double the recipe for large parties because this dip finishes fast.
- Store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- If the dip thickens in the refrigerator, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise to restore creaminess.
- Do not freeze this dip; the mayonnaise base will separate.
