Description
Quick and easy keto garlic butter steak bites, perfect for a beginner cook. This recipe is flavorful and fast.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp salted butter or ghee
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Optional: 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel and season them generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet or non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Carefully place the steak bites in the skillet in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Work in batches if necessary.
- Sear the steak for 2–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until all sides are well-browned and a crust has formed. Cook to your desired level of doneness.
- Once cooked, transfer the steak bites to a bowl and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter or ghee to the same skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic (and optional red pepper flakes) and sauté for about 30-60 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce until they are fully coated.
- Remove the skillet from the heat, stir in the fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For an extra crispy texture, drain any excess liquid from the pan before adding the butter and garlic.
- These steak bites pair well with steamed vegetables or cauliflower mash.
