Description

Crispy, juicy, and flavorful low-carb chicken tenders made in the air fryer with an almond flour coating.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast tenders
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup blanched almond flour
  • 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Olive oil spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the almond flour, Parmesan cheese, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and heavy cream until smooth.
  4. Dip each chicken tender into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off.
  5. Coat the chicken tenders evenly in the almond flour mixture, pressing the coating gently onto the chicken.
  6. Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  7. Lightly spray the tenders with olive oil spray.
  8. Air fry for 6 to 7 minutes, then flip the tenders and spray lightly again.
  9. Continue cooking for another 6 to 7 minutes until golden brown and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
  10. Let the chicken tenders rest for 2 minutes before serving.
