Description
Crispy, juicy, and flavorful low-carb chicken tenders made in the air fryer with an almond flour coating.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast tenders
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1/2 cup blanched almond flour
- 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the almond flour, Parmesan cheese, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and heavy cream until smooth.
- Dip each chicken tender into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off.
- Coat the chicken tenders evenly in the almond flour mixture, pressing the coating gently onto the chicken.
- Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
- Lightly spray the tenders with olive oil spray.
- Air fry for 6 to 7 minutes, then flip the tenders and spray lightly again.
- Continue cooking for another 6 to 7 minutes until golden brown and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Let the chicken tenders rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Cook the tenders in batches if needed so hot air circulates properly for the crispiest coating.
