Description
Tender, buttery apple dumplings coated in a warm cinnamon sauce, made quickly in the pressure cooker.
Ingredients
- 2 large Granny Smith apples peeled cored and cut into quarters
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter sliced
- 3/4 cup lemon lime soda
Instructions
- Lightly grease the inner pot of the instant pot.
- Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Wrap one piece of dough around each apple quarter, sealing the edges gently.
- Arrange the wrapped apples in a single layer in the instant pot.
- Sprinkle the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg evenly over the dumplings.
- Place the butter slices evenly over the top.
- Carefully pour the lemon lime soda around the dumplings, avoiding pouring directly over the dough.
- Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing.
- Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
- Allow a natural pressure release for 5 minutes, then carefully perform a quick release.
- Spoon the sauce over the dumplings before serving.
