Description

Tender, buttery apple dumplings coated in a warm cinnamon sauce, made quickly in the pressure cooker.

Ingredients

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples peeled cored and cut into quarters
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter sliced
  • 3/4 cup lemon lime soda

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the inner pot of the instant pot.
  2. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Wrap one piece of dough around each apple quarter, sealing the edges gently.
  3. Arrange the wrapped apples in a single layer in the instant pot.
  4. Sprinkle the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg evenly over the dumplings.
  5. Place the butter slices evenly over the top.
  6. Carefully pour the lemon lime soda around the dumplings, avoiding pouring directly over the dough.
  7. Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing.
  8. Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
  9. Allow a natural pressure release for 5 minutes, then carefully perform a quick release.
  10. Spoon the sauce over the dumplings before serving.
