Description
A warm, cheesy, and slightly spicy pizza dip featuring pepperoni, mozzarella, and a sweet heat kick from hot honey. This recipe is simple enough for any beginner cook.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup pizza or marinara sauce
- 25–30 pepperoni slices
- 2 tbsp hot honey (plus more for drizzling)
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Chopped fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)
- Breadsticks, crostini, or vegetables for serving
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or small casserole.
- Stir cream cheese, ricotta, half the mozzarella, parmesan, oregano, minced garlic, and 1 tbsp hot honey until smooth and combined.
- Spread cheese mixture evenly in prepared dish. Layer pizza/marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle on remaining mozzarella.
- Arrange pepperoni slices over sauce. Drizzle another tablespoon hot honey and olive oil over pepperoni.
- Bake 18–22 minutes until bubbling and edges are golden. Broil briefly if extra browning is desired.
- Garnish with red pepper flakes, chopped basil or parsley, and a final drizzle of hot honey before serving. Serve hot with breadsticks, crostini, or sliced vegetables.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes or use spicy pepperoni.
- Substitute part-skim cheeses for a lighter dip, or use turkey pepperoni if preferred.
- Serve immediately while hot and bubbly for best texture and flavor.
