Description

A layered dessert with a fudgy brownie base, creamy chocolate cheesecake, and hot fudge topping.

Ingredients

  • For the brownie layer:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the cheesecake layer:
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup melted semisweet chocolate
  • For the topping:
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F. Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar for the brownie layer.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until combined.
  5. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes while you prepare the cheesecake layer.
  7. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  8. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition.
  9. Mix in the vanilla extract, sour cream, and melted chocolate until fully combined.
  10. Pour the cheesecake batter over the partially baked brownie layer.
  11. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the center is slightly set with a gentle jiggle.
  12. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  13. Before serving, drizzle with hot fudge sauce and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Notes

  • Let the cheesecake chill fully before slicing for clean layers and the best texture.
