Description
Sweet and spicy honey sriracha ground chicken with tender broccoli cooked in one pan. This recipe offers a quick, high-protein dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil divided
- 12 ounces broccoli florets cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 pound lean ground chicken
- 0.25 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
Instructions
- Heat 0.5 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add broccoli in an even layer and cook undisturbed for 1 to 2 minutes to develop browning. Stir and cook another 3 to 4 minutes until crisp-tender. Transfer to a plate.
- Add remaining olive oil to the skillet and add ground chicken. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking it up, until fully cooked and lightly browned.
- In a small bowl, whisk sweet chili sauce, honey, sriracha, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, garlic powder, and ground ginger.
- Pour sauce over the chicken and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until thick and glossy.
- Return broccoli to the skillet and toss until evenly coated and heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- Ground chicken is safe to eat when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Serve over rice, cauliflower rice, or noodles for a complete meal.
