Description

Sweet and spicy honey sriracha ground chicken with tender broccoli cooked in one pan. This recipe offers a quick, high-protein dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil divided
  • 12 ounces broccoli florets cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 pound lean ground chicken
  • 0.25 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions


Instructions

  1. Heat 0.5 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add broccoli in an even layer and cook undisturbed for 1 to 2 minutes to develop browning. Stir and cook another 3 to 4 minutes until crisp-tender. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Add remaining olive oil to the skillet and add ground chicken. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking it up, until fully cooked and lightly browned.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk sweet chili sauce, honey, sriracha, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, garlic powder, and ground ginger.
  5. Pour sauce over the chicken and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until thick and glossy.
  6. Return broccoli to the skillet and toss until evenly coated and heated through.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • Ground chicken is safe to eat when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
