Description

Juicy chicken with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce served in soft naan bread with fresh toppings, perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 naan breads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • For the honey garlic sauce:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss the chicken strips with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 6 to 8 minutes until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet with the cooked chicken. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  5. Warm the naan breads in a dry skillet or oven until soft and pliable.
  6. Fill each naan bread with shredded lettuce, carrots, cucumber, and honey garlic chicken.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Warm naan bread just before serving for the softest texture and best flavor.
