Description

Make this honey garlic chicken skillet in under 30 minutes. Juicy chicken coated in a sweet savory garlic sauce for a perfect weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken fillets cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 half teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 third cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 quarter cup water
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season with salt and pepper then toss with cornstarch until lightly coated.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until golden and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey soy sauce ketchup apple cider vinegar and water. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  8. Sprinkle green onions on top and serve warm.
