Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add egg, honey, and vanilla; whisk together.
  3. Gently stir in flour, salt, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and remaining ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle over the batter.
  5. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely before cutting.
