Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 12 cup muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and sea salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat softened butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Divide batter evenly among cupcake liners.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until tops spring back lightly and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
- For frosting, beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Frost cooled cupcakes and serve.
