Ingredients
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 1 cup raw cashews
- 1 cup walnut halves
- ¾ cup pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
- ¾ cup sunflower seeds
- ¾ cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup dried apricots, chopped
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- ¼ cup chia seeds
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F and spread almonds, cashews, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds on a large rimmed baking sheet.
- Toast nuts and seeds in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring halfway through, until lightly golden and fragrant.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet for 15 minutes before mixing with other ingredients.
- Chop dried apricots into small bite-sized pieces using a sharp knife or kitchen scissors.
- Combine all cooled toasted nuts and seeds in a large mixing bowl with dried cranberries, chopped apricots, dark chocolate chips, chia seeds, and sea salt.
- Stir the mixture thoroughly with a large spoon until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout.
- Divide the trail mix evenly among 8 small zip-top bags or airtight containers, portioning about ¾ cup per bag.
- Seal bags or containers tightly and label with the date.
- Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks for food safety and best quality.
