A simple and delicious recipe for making homemade Doritos that are crispy and flavorful.
Ingredients

- 1/2 pack (15 pieces) corn or flour tortillas
- 2 tbsp ranch seasoning
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ranch seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, sugar, onion powder, and salt. Stir until mixed evenly.
- Slice the tortillas into 6 to 8 equal triangles.
- Heat the oil in a deep skillet or pot to about 350°F (180°C).
- Carefully drop the tortilla triangles into the hot oil and fry for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the chips and let them drain on paper towels.
- Toss the warm chips in the seasoning mix until well coated.
- Repeat the frying process with the remaining tortilla pieces.
Notes
- Keep an eye on the chips while frying to prevent burning.
- Adjust the seasoning to your taste preference.
- Store any leftover chips in an airtight container.
