Description

Make sweet and smoky BBQ sauce using simple pantry ingredients for grilling, dipping, or marinating.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 half teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 quarter teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan.
  2. Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Stir the mixture well and bring it to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  4. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring sometimes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool before you use it.

Notes

  • Cooling the sauce helps it thicken more and improves the flavor.
  • Store the sauce in the refrigerator for up to one week.
