Description

This fun, festive recipe combines creamy spinach dip with breadsticks shaped like a holiday tree. It is a simple appetizer perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough or breadstick dough
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Cherry tomatoes, sliced olives, or red bell pepper pieces for decoration (optional)
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until combined.
  3. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface into a large triangle shape resembling a tree.
  4. Spread the spinach dip mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  5. Cut strips about 1 inch wide on each side of the dough, slanting toward the center to make branches. Twist each strip a couple of times.
  6. Place the dough triangle on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the dough with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Decorate with cherry tomato halves, olives, or red pepper pieces like ornaments.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Sprinkle extra grated Parmesan or herbs on top before baking for more flavor.
  • You can use crescent roll dough for a fluffier breadstick texture.
  • This breadstick tree makes a great, simple centerpiece for holiday events.
