Description

Moist and fluffy Greek yogurt banana bread packed with protein and chocolate chips. An easy healthier bake perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth.
  3. Add Greek yogurt, honey, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Add dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra texture, sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top before baking.
