Description
These high protein bagel bites cook fast in the air fryer, yielding a soft center and chewy crust. They make a great make-ahead snack or breakfast.
Ingredients
- ⅒ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup unflavored protein powder
- ⅒ cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt
- 10 teaspoons plain cream cheese
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F and lightly coat the basket with nonstick spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and protein powder.
- Add Greek yogurt and mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Divide dough into 10 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
- Flatten one portion, place 1 teaspoon cream cheese in the center, and seal the dough completely around it.
- Roll gently to form a smooth ball and repeat with remaining dough.
- Brush each bagel bite lightly with beaten egg.
- Sprinkle tops generously with everything bagel seasoning.
- Arrange in the air fryer basket with space between each piece.
- Air fry for 6 to 7 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool for 3 minutes before serving so the filling sets slightly.
Notes
- Allow the bagel bites to cool briefly before eating, as the filling will be very hot straight from the air fryer.
