Description

This healthy trail mix is crunchy, lightly sweet, and filling. It combines nuts, seeds, and dried fruit for a balanced, portable snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 1 cup raw walnuts
  • 1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
  • 1 cup unsweetened dried apricots chopped
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips dairy free


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Spread almonds, cashews, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds evenly on a large rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then stir the nuts and seeds for even toasting.
  4. Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes until lightly golden and fragrant.
  5. Remove from the oven and let the mixture cool completely on the pan for about 15 minutes.
  6. Transfer the cooled nuts and seeds to a large mixing bowl.
  7. Add dried cranberries, dried apricots, coconut flakes, and dark chocolate chips.
  8. Toss gently until everything is evenly combined.
  9. Store the trail mix in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
